Statement of the Association of Cubans in Bahamas Demanding the Freedom of the Cuban Five Antiterrorists. To fight for the Cuban Five’s freedom is a moral obligation of every man and woman in the Word who respects justice. Gerardo, Ramón, Antonio, Fernando and René have been 12 years in US prisons, after they were unjust sentenced by the US Government for combating against terrorists organizations based in Miami. The Five were arrested on September 1998 because risking their lives, without arms, without using force or violence they penetrated terrorist groups operating with impunity in Miami.
